Semi-Wild Camping at Eva’s Retreat: Reconnect with Nature and Soul

There is something deeply healing about stepping away from the busyness of everyday life and immersing yourself in nature. At Eva’s Retreat in Cardigan Bay, we offer more than just workshops and retreat weekends—we invite you to experience the magic of semi-wild camping in one of the most beautiful corners of Wales.

A Healing Space in Nature

Eva’s Retreat has always been a place of spiritual connection, soul nourishment, and deep rest. People come here for healing workshops, meditation weekends, and soulful gatherings, but many find the greatest gift is simply being able to slow down and breathe in the stillness of the land.

Our retreat space is surrounded by rolling hills, open fields, and the vast expanse of Cardigan Bay. It’s a setting that encourages you to let go of daily stresses and open up to something greater—whether that’s your inner wisdom, your creative flow, or simply a deeper connection with the earth.

The Semi-Wild Camping Experience

Unlike busy campsites, our field offers a semi-wild camping experience that blends comfort with closeness to nature. The field is expansive, meaning there’s plenty of space to pitch your tent in peace. You can choose a sheltered spot closer to the barn, or set up at the top of the hill where you’ll be rewarded with breathtaking views of Cardigan Bay at sunset.

This unique camping option is available for those attending retreat weekends and workshops, giving you the chance to extend your stay and truly immerse yourself in the energy of the retreat.

Facilities That Support Simplicity

Semi-wild doesn’t mean roughing it. At Eva’s Retreat, you’ll find thoughtful touches that make your stay comfortable while keeping the experience grounded and eco-conscious.

Compost Loo – A brand-new, twin compost loo means your stay treads lightly on the earth while offering convenience and cleanliness.
The Barn – Here you’ll find handwashing facilities, a microwave, kettle, tea towels, and even a space to hang your clothes. It’s a simple but welcoming hub where retreat guests often gather for tea and conversation.
Campervan Space – For those who prefer their own four wheels, we have space for one small campervan or motorhome.

These facilities keep things practical and easy while maintaining the retreat’s sustainable, back-to-nature ethos.

Why Camp During a Retreat?

For many guests, camping becomes a powerful extension of the retreat itself. Sleeping under the stars, listening to the sounds of nature, and waking up to the soft light over Cardigan Bay adds an extra layer of peace, grounding, and spiritual clarity to the whole experience.

Some of the reasons guests choose to camp during their stay include:

  • Deeper connection with nature – Spending time outdoors helps to quiet the mind and restore natural rhythms.

  • A sense of freedom – With wide-open space and endless skies, the field offers a gentle reminder of how expansive life can be.

  • Soul nourishment – Many find that camping allows them to feel more present, more open, and more connected to their inner journey.

  • Sunset magic – Watching the sun dip into the waters of Cardigan Bay is a spiritual experience in itself.

A Place to Come Home to Yourself

Eva’s Retreat is not just about the workshops or facilities—it’s about creating a space where people can come home to themselves. Whether you’re joining us for a tarot workshop, a healing retreat, or a weekend of meditation and mindfulness, choosing to stay on-site through semi-wild camping allows you to stay fully immersed in the energy of the place.

Many guests tell us that the time spent outdoors was just as transformative as the retreat itself. It’s a reminder that healing doesn’t always happen in the therapy room or workshop circle—sometimes it happens when you’re sitting quietly in a field, looking out over the sea, feeling the breeze on your face, and simply being.

Booking Your Stay

If you’re planning to attend one of our retreat weekends or workshops, you’re warmly invited to add the camping option to your stay. Full details can be found on the Accommodation page of our website.
